My friends often refer to me as "the joker that's always being extra" - maybe it's because I chose to dive into the world of entrepreneurship whilst only in my 2nd year of undergraduate studies (and back in those days, it was almost unheard of to do that!). I ran a luxury transportation business that stressed me almost to death for nearly a decade before quitting and making a switch to the property industry.

The property business hasn't necessarily been any less stressful - it's a mightily competitive one - but I suppose over the years I've carved out my own niche that has brought me better times.

My success in property can be attributed to the systematic, rational and creative approach I take towards my work. I don't believe in blindly following trends; I'd prefer a wholistic view towards the market. The aesthetics of things also claws at me - I believe its one of the primary focuses when it comes to marketing properties and is one of the driving factors that led me to create the UppMarketSG brand with #TheUppMarketCampaign.

Elsewhere in my life, I'm proud of the unusual life experiences and interests on my resume. An hour of my daily life is spent on the piano (I play Jazz & Classical stuff). I list driving the old Sentosa Monorail and Beach Trams as my first part-time jobs; I will declare that I have visited Hong Kong an insane 104 times just for fun (*as at end 2024) and I am an absolute Formula 1 fanatic that has followed every race and qualifying session live since year 2009.

However, I remain grounded to the fact that I have a family I love to bits and - just like many of you, I'm also addicted to bubble tea.
